So where I live...there are a lot of stray cats, so many it almost begins to resemble the "Warriors" series by Erin Hunter (to those who have read this before)

Recently I've been feeding a cute black and white cat who looks almost like this one [link] and is not friendly, nor is she aggressive...more wary, probably due to the feral issue... I thought she was not a stray until it snowed today and I followed her pawprints (while she was distracted eating) up into my back woods where I saw the trail end suddenly underneath the large pile of boulders (4ft wide boulders) and I look underneath and see a little bowl shape padded into the leaves. I knew then that this was her home, and that she might be pregnant, because what kind of stray cat is fat?

Now I'm confronted with trying to tame her and my parents have opposite views with me feeding the cat. Mom helps, and even puts some chicken/fish/ham whatever meat she is cooking for dinner out for a treat, and Dad says I'm going to I quote "Kill that cat" because SOMEHOW the dogs are going to chase it out into the street and it's going to die when it always runs in the opposite direction into it's den.

I want to help this cat because maybe just maybe I will be able to give it and its kittens a warm place to sleep at night and eventually find homes for the kittens. I will re-model my room, the gecko room, or the basement if I have to just so I can keep them in the house.

Tomorrow I plan on making this [link] to give them a better shelter because it's starting to get pretty cold here.

Has anyone ever had a similar situation like this before?
